Trans-Himalayan Conference Conducted By TU

Trans-Himalayan Research Centre, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences ,Tribhuvan University has Successfully conducted One Day Conference on “Exploring Issues of Trans-Himalayan Cooperation” in Kathmandu.

Conference was  focused on various issues as Social-Geographical  aspects of Trans-Himalayans lifes,Livelihood Diversification, Climate change ,Mutual financial Cooperation and Connectivity. Various participant  form abroad with in country were actively participated in the Conference

Minister for Forest and  Soil Conservation,Mr.Agni Prasad Sapkota inaugurated the Inaugural Session. He Expressed the Various Concerns regarding the Trans-Himalayans life’s and its aspects. He   insisted to joint efforts  for preventing climatic disasters. Likewise  Vice Chancellor of TU,Prof.Dr.Tirth Raj Khaniya argued better life’s and promotion of Trans-Himalayas opportunity. Accordingly Rector of TU,Prof.Dr.Sudha Tripathi and Registrar of TU,Mr.Dilli Ram Uprety also shared their fruitful Conception and Blessing for the Succession of the Conference. Prof. Li Tao,Director  of Institute of South Asian Studies(ISAS) Sichuan University China, aslo gave emphasis to Co-operation and Connecitivity for  the Sustainable development of China and Nepal, Dean of FOHSS,TU,Prof.Dr.Chinta Mani Pokhrel Concluded season with short historical initation of  Trans-Himalayan Research Centre’s where as Assistant Dean,FoHSS,TU Prof.Dr.Tara Kant Pandey gave vot of thanks to all participant .

Three Difference Technical Session were also main attraction of the program. Various renounced Professor and Administrator had presented their paper about various issues  relating with Trans-Himalayan Cooperation. Prof.Dr.Laya Uprety presented his paper named “Anthropology of Trans-Himalaya, “Livelihood Diversification in Trans-Himalayan Mountain: A Case form Nepal” by Prof.Bhim Prasad Subedi. “informal Business Activates on Boarder Areas of India, Nepal and China and its Impact on the Economy of Trans Himalayan Areas” By Prof.Dr.Ram Chandra Dhakal, “One Beld,One Road: An Opportunity for Nepal” By former Chief Secretary Mr.LilaMani Poudel,”Chines -Nepal Economic and Trade Cooperation in the New Era: Present Situation, Problems, and Countermeasures” by Huang  Zhengduo, “South’s Asia’s Role in “One Belt and One Road”, “Energy Insecurity in Nepal: Prospect of Tri-Lateral Partnership among India, Nepal and China by Khadga K.C,”Analysis the Effect of Promoting 21st Century Maritime Silk Road to China India Relations” by Xiang Yuanjun,”Prospects for China -India-Nepal Trilateral Water Cooperation -A Chines Perspective ” by Liu Siwei, “Some Thoughts on China Nepal Cooperation Concerning Reconstruction after Earthquake” by Gu Linsheng,”West China’s Local Government’s Role in Trans-Himalaya Regional Cooperation “by Dai Yonghong were the Present  during the Conference.

The Program was facilitated by  Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences,TU with Collaboration with Sichuan University of China.
