Prfo.Dr. Yang Dan, Vice President of Tibet University visited Tribhuvan University along with the faculty members to further strengthen the academic ties that had been established a year ago.
During the courtesy meeting the Prof.Dr.Tirth Raj Khaniya, Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University assured the delegates to initiate special programs between two universities. Vice-Chancellor Khaniya gave his remark on current academic status and ongoing research activities within TU. Prof Yang Dan also expressed his concern regarding the mutual academic partnership with TU in the area of Engineering, Economic and finance, fine arts and Himalayan economic research. He also has shown interest to establish Confucius Institute in Tribhuvan University.
Prof.Dr. Bhupa Prasad Dhamala, Executive Director of the Centre for International Relation, has presented key notes regarding the International activates and possible ways of co-operation between Tribhuvan University and Tibet University.
Delegate’s team also held a meeting with the Head of the Central Department Prof.Dr.Ram Prasad Gywali, to initiate joint research on Chinese and Nepalese economy. Prof Gywali said that very soon professors of both universities would meet and set the area of research.
